A Promise Never To Be Forgotten

Isaiah 59:19 “So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.”

A Cup of Goodness

This was breakfast! Need I say more? Other than that it was a big hit!
There was no leftovers.

Nothing is better than a hot cup of goodness on a cold winter day, but on this day in particular a storm had just finished, the sun came out and this Californian girl needed some fresh air. So out I went and sat in a chair that I made with my dad one summer and enjoyed the special moment of peace and quiet.

Colorado Memories

When the old dies the new grows in its place.

Just because I was tired of looking down...

Columbine flowers.

We where heading back to the car and
I had to capture the trees with the dark
storm behind them.

I love water! Plus, I almost fell in it when taking this picture!

This was one of my favorite places we went to in Colorado.
I loved the trees, and water, it was a perfect camping spot.

Inside every Canon is a Nikon! (lots of laughing)
Two amazing camera the only difference is who is behind them.

This stream was one of many in Colorado
which while hiking we had to cross.

The road goes ever on waiting for an
adventure to take place.

Tall trees are my favorite they remind me
how small I am when standing next to them.

Lost Art

The title of this post takes on a new meaning for me and here is why. I have begun to realize that in being a photographer you can sometimes get carried away with picture taking. There is the possibility of finding pictures, you totally forgot you had while organizing your photography albums. Understand, that I love looking through my Nikon lens and seeing things differently, which is why I love doing what I do. This picture above is an example of Lost Art. I was in Colorado taking a landscape course and we where wandering through this amazing forest full of incredible things to look at.
Ever since I was little I love finding anything to do with hearts. So, when I found this tree I could not go by without capturing the uniqueness of the heart. I wanted to share with you the lost art and the unique heart on the tree. Enjoy!

"As the leaf can no longer withstand the rushing wind anymore, it slowly plummets down into the quiet water below. It travels faraway from it's branch never to be seen again. The leaf silently floats away under a bridge, and over a waterfall, only to keep going not knowing where it will rest." - Elizabeth Anne

This picture inspired me to put into words, what it would be like for a leaf to leave it's branch, and drift away on the water.

Today, I got out my three favorite things, which are my bible, notebook/pens, then I topped it off with a cup of goodness. (No, I won't tell you what was in it, because it will keep you guessing:)
I finally figured out some more things on how to blog through blogger! I guess trial and error is the only way to learn things :D
So, you might have noticed the name on my cup and probably wondered what the story is behind it. I was blessed to spend two weeks in Colorado Springs taking several photography courses. I learned much while there plus made new friends as well, but the most memorable thing for me was this coffee shop. It was called Agia Sophia! We would some times go there, to study and finish our projects, an in the process would order the most amazing drinks :D Their Chai was my favorite... Need I say more? I don't think so, for those who know about it! lol. But to those who have never been, it is a must if you are ever in Colorado Springs. Well it is late and it has been a long day. Blessings to all who read this. Goodnight! <3
